Blogging Vacation

It’s been a while since I’ve written on my blog and it’s for a variety of reasons. Way back in the summer of 2013 I decided that I was going to do all the things I wanted to in my final year of university. As soon as I got back to school I basically signed up for everything, which is the reason why this blog hasn’t had any new content as of late. As part of my cheap ways (and saving up for a big post-grad trip) I decided to skip out on the all-inclusive vacay this year and stay at home in the big T.O. And now I have time to write on here.

So what I have I been up to instead of providing amazing advice to my readers? A LOT!

JDC Central 2014

  • 4 months of a case prep course, and a full January of practices cases lead up to 3 hours of case preparation and 20 minutes of presenting. Oh and the most amazing weekend of my university career. Oh and a lot of hashtags #jdcclove #jdcc2014 and pictures. See below for the badass video that basically sums up the whole experience.

Entrepreneurship Society at the University of Guelph

After joining the society during the 2012-2013 school year I was able to take over as president for my final year of university. It’s been amazing experience, just like building my own business-essentially starting from the basics and building something that can be passed along to future society members.

Conferences

  • QMAC-probably the best conference I’ve ever been to and an amazing networking experience
  • JMSB-If I’ve ever mentioned it on here before, I want to go into sports marketing and this is the best place to be if that’s what you’re hoping to get into

Now some of you may have no idea what these different events and organizations are but they have been one of the most enjoyable things I’ve done in the last 6 months. So that’s the closest thing I have as a reason for not writing since the fall semester. And the big message that I have to share out of all this? Make the most of your time in university or college, live it up, because it’s an experience you will never have again (unless you do your masters….).

I’ll try to make sure I write more often now. For those who have checked in and read my old posts and visited this page over the last few months, thanks for the support :)
